About JAWS
JAWS Publishing is the work of Sgt. John A. Walker (ret.). For over twenty-five years he worked as a Michigan Conservation Officer in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and, for a few years, in the thumb-area. During much of that time he also served in his church helping with the young people.
Over the many years working for the State of Michigan, Sgt. Walker encountered many wonderful people and many unusual situations. Many of the tales told in his series of books come from his time patrolling the woods and lakes of the UP. Others stories come from his youth in the UP.
The stories written are humorous, but often they teach life lessons. The language used is appropriate for all ages. These books are, quite simply, family appropriate reading.
